Brilliant three way split album from these amazing Finnish black metal artists. As usual strong material from the man called WYRD...really great HAIVE with nice folk elements (sucker for a mouth harp in my black metal) and perhaps the best for last, KEHRA...amazing stuff from this new band...reminds me of the "Cascadian Black Metal" from up in this neck of the woods. Wolves in the Throne Room, Skagos, Fauna etc.

Generally not a huge fan of split albums but this one was too good to pass up. Seriously wonderful music coming from Finland to you.

Remastered for vinyl. Nice reverse board packaging with heavy weight insert.

HAIVE (tracks 3 to 5)
Varjosielu - Electric, acoustic, and bass guitars, drums, mouth-harp, glass bottles, straw and 5-strings kantele.
This 3rd chapter of Haive was recorded mixed and mastered in the beginning of the fall 2005, at Varjot-Audio Studios.
All the musical, visual and lyrical art designed and done by Varjosielu, except vocals yelled by Noitavasara.

KEHRA (tracks 6 and 7)
All music by Utula.
All lyrics by Ikiviha.
Songs composed, written and recorded between the nears 2003 and 2007.

Avec Somewhere Sadness Wanders, Drudkh achève sa trilogie de splits et, cette fois, le groupe ukrainien s'associe avec ce monument du black metal atmosphérique qu'est Paysage d'Hiver. Une fois n'est pas coutume : seule la contribution de Drudkh est présente mais on ressent qu'il cherche à se mettre au même niveau que le one-man band suisse en étant un peu plus atmosphérique et même glacial, se permettant une interlude blackgaze. J'avais dit que A Furrow Cut Short était un des meilleurs albums de Drudkh mais Їм часто сниться капіж (They Often See Dreams About the Spring) m'oblige à revoir mon jugement car il est encore meilleur. Le système de répétitions est toujours la clef de voûte de son black metal atmosphérique : il faudra tendre l'oreille car c'est par ses détails — les effets de chutes à la guitare, la batterie écrasante mais phénoménale — qu'il marque les esprits.
